About Centre

Centre for space and innovative technologies (CSIT) is a non-profit institution founded by the Sisak-Moslavina county in 2020.

The mission of the Centre is to contribute to the economic development of the Croatian economy through the application of space and innovative technologies. The Centre realizes the application of space and innovative technologies through the development of prototypes of products and services for the needs of industry and through applied research in cooperation with research institutions. The application of space technologies in the Centre includes research and development of technologies that are directly used in space exploration and use, but also the use of technologies that have emerged from space applications in conventional industries.


The vision of the Centre is to act as a two-way link between research institutions and industry in the field of space and innovative technologies in the Republic of Croatia. The Centre enables the application of research results of institutions and research and development of products and services at the request of industrial partners. The research activities of the Centre create conditions for the development of scientific research careers of young professionals.


The short term strategic goals of the Centre are: creating a team of young experts covering all fields of space technology, establishing cooperation with relevant research institutions on projects in the field of space and innovative technologies and creating conditions for the arrival of the industry from the field of space and innovative technologies in Sisak and the County.


The long term strategic goals of the Centre are enabling the application of research results in the field of space and innovative technologies of partner research institutions in industry and conducting research and earlier stages of product and service development based on the requirements of the space technology industry.
